Newbridge Memo Ltd.

Recently renovated Grade 2 listed art deco venue incorporating the Celynen Collieries Institute (constructed in 1908 using funds generated by local miners), originally finished in 1924 as a memorial to the local men who fell in the First World War, in the heart of Newbridge, Caerphilly.

Auditorium with 446 seats (plus wheelchair spaces), Ballroom with cabaret stage, multimedia experience and bar (300 capacity).  Function room with 2nd bar (80 capacity), 2 conference rooms.  Cinema programme shown in auditorium.  All spaces available for hire.  The building also incorporates the ‘Memo Heritage Experience’ multimedia historical tour facility, as well as housing Newbridge Library and the RAF Association Welfare Office for Wales.

Our programme runs all year round featuring a wide variety of Live Music, Film, Professional Theatre, Community and Amateur productions, as well as weddings, parties, lectures and conferences.  Short run of local pantomime and concerts at Christmas, workshops and classes every week.
