Pontardawe Arts Centre
A multi-functioning arts venue with theatre/cinema, art gallery, teaching studio, meeting rooms, and bar. Pontardawe Arts Centre is owned and managed by Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council and is a revenue client of the Arts Council of Wales. The venue promotes a diverse range of professional events, both mainstream and specialist film and an ongoing visual arts programme with approximately 12 exhibitions per annum. Extensive opportunities to participate in arts related activities are available.
The theatre has a capacity of 410 with standing downstairs the capacity increases to 500.
Stage size is 7.2m x 7.2m with a height of 6.1m to the grid.
Programming policy
A broad artistic programme with dance, drama, dance, spoken world/ literature, comedy, music (classical, folk & world) and children’s theatre. Programmed 6 – 12 months in advance for January – June and September – December periods. .
