Pontio Arts Centre, Bangor are seeking Theatre Sound Technician

Theatre Sound Technician – information

Grade:  4

Salary information:  Starting Salary £19,305 p.a. on Grade 4

Contract duration:  Permanent

Responsible for:  Technical Director

Closing date:  8th August 2018

Applications are invited for the above full time permanent post at Pontio.

The duties will include mixing live and recorded sound, assist with ‘get-in’ and ‘get-out’ needs of visiting companies and stakeholders, and the general needs of a Theatre Sound Technician.

Candidates should be educated to A level standard (or equivalent) and have previous experience as a live Sound Technician with substantial experience of working in theatres.  Proof of strong interpersonal skills as a Theatre Technician will be needed.

The appointee must be eager to work in a field which demands long and unsocial hours and ensure that performances work to a high standard.

Interviews will be held on Thursday 16th August, and the successful candidate will be expected to start as soon as possible.

The ability to communicate through the medium of Welsh is essential for this post.
