Wales Millennium Centre opened in 2004 and has established its reputation as one of the world’s iconic arts and cultural destinations, attracting over 1.5 million visitors annually. The vision of the Centre is to be an internationally significant cultural landmark and centre for the performing arts, renowned for inspiration, excellence and leadership. Wales Millennium Centre attracts audiences and visitors from Wales and beyond and provides a creative home for some of Wales’s leading arts and cultural organizations – WNO, BBC NOW, Academi, National Dance Company of Wales, Ty Cerdd, Hijinx Theatre, Touch Trust, and Urdd Gobaith Cymru.
The Centre is a focal point for the culture, identity and talents of Wales, providing a world class showcase for musical theatre, opera, contemporary dance and ballet, comedy, as well as education and visual arts. It also offers one of the largest free performance programmes in the UK.

As well as the Donald Gordon Theatre and the Weston Studio, the Centre has a Dance House, a 350 seat recital hall and state of the art recording facilities, Hoddinott Hall, rehearsal spaces, meeting and hospitality rooms, and accommodation for 150 young people.

Access: Wales Millennium Centre is an exemplar in terms of its accessibility policies. All main access points for the public have an automatic or push button door at first point of entry. Lifts are situated at either end of the concourse and have access to all levels. Both the Donald Gordon Theatre and the Weston Studio have allocated wheelchair spaces. Designated parking spaces are available for Blue Badge holders. The Donald Gordon Theatre is fitted with a loop system, and regularly holds captioned and BSL signed performances. Touch tours are available for the visually impaired as well as guided tours for wheelchair users. Disabled toilets and full changing facilities are located within the Centre.
