Maria Goddard

Head of Finance at Awen Cultural Trust

Maria joined Awen cultural Trust in 2018 as Head of Finance looking after all the Bridgend County libraries, Bryngarw country Park and House, BLeaf and WoodB projects for adults with learning difficulties as well as cultural venues like the Grand Pavilion, Porthcawl, Maesteg Town Hall, the Metropole, Abertillery and the soon to be re-opened Y Muni in Pontypridd.

Maria brought a wealth of experience to the role following her time at Wales Millennium Centre as Financial Controller, overseeing the finances on the Centre's own productions of Tiger Bay, the Last Mermaid and Only the Brave as well as the Festival of Voice and the city wide Roald Dahl''s City of the Unexpected.

Prior to working with charities Maria held roles at PepsiCo UK, Vodafone UK and other leading corporations. In her spare time Maria is Treasurer for the local football team, Trustee for the local rugby team and when she isn't watching her daughter compete in dance competitions is helping behind the scene with finances!
