We’re back!!

The Edinburgh Festivals are a crucial visit in the theatre calendar. We are pleased to be back with our subsidised accommodation and meet up. This year we're arriving on Monday 19th and departing on Sunday 26th August. This is a great opportunity to connect with fellow programmers and artists from across Wales, see new and exciting work, and meet with artists and companies performing at the festival. We also use the trip as a way to see work that could potentially tour across Wales and to your venue!

We know it can be expensive to attend, so Creu Cymru have secured 7 nights of subsidised accommodation in an 8-bedroom apartment. We stay at Salisbury Court, a student accommodation complex situated tucked between Holyrood Park and the Meadows and a short walk from many of the main Fringe including Summerhall and Pleasance Courtyard. We will also be hosting a Wales get together on the 21st August – more details will be announced soon.

We also stay connected through an optional WhatsApp group.

Buddy Scheme

We love taking first-time attendees to Edinburgh but know that the scale of the festivals, and even the layout of the city, can be overwhelming. To make the experience less daunting, we have a buddy scheme that partners first-time visitors with more experienced Edinburgh go-ers. If you would like a buddy, we’ll put you in touch with someone who can talk you through ways to put together your schedule, what programming the venues specialise in, and where you’ll find everything.

What’s the cost?*

Members - £80 per night.

Non-members - £90 per night

Additional guest in room - £10 per night.

*Inclusive of contribution towards cleaning costs
